EU Ship Recycling Regulation and IMO Hong Kong Convention are knocking the doors of ship owners across the globe, and the 31 December 2020 compliance deadline is getting closer and closer.

Over the past few months, the BRAZIL MARINE SURVEYORS team has been able to assist ship owners with IHM (Inventory of Hazardous Materials) Surveys, in order to have their ships inventoried and ready for approval/certification from Class Societies.

Our HAZMAT Experts were trained and certified by RINA GLOBAL TRAINING CENTRE and are able to perform the surveys by using different IHM apps available in the market.

Brazil Marine Surveyors acting as MWS in Transport Mega-operation

Brazil Marine Surveyors is proud to have been part of the team that planned and carried successfully the Ammonia Reactor of Nitrogen Fertilizers Plant, being built for Petrobras in Três Lagoas – MS, Brazil.

This reactor is the main equipment of the site. It weighs 761 tons, is 39.30 m length, 4.44 m width and 5.39 m height.

Brazil Marine Surveyors acted as Marine Warranty Surveyors in this Project, analyzing plans and procedures, discussing operations in advance and supervising all stages of logistic chain, by sea, river and road at Rio Grande, Nueva Palmira (Uruguay), Foz do Iguaçu and Três Lagoas, respectively.

Project Cargo Transhipment in Rio Grande

Brazil Marine Surveyors acted as Marine Warranty Surveyors on a transhipment of very heavy cargo (761 t) in March 2013.

The work was complex and required several days for planning and examining all details.

03/Dec/2012 - Monitoring Pipe Loading in Rio de Janeiro

Brazil Marine Surveyors in proud of being appointed in long term for checking cargo pre-loading condition and monitoring loading, stowage and lashing of loose pipes and bundles exported from the port of Rio de Janeiro by one of the most important pipe manufactures in Brazil.

Two vessels were loaded during week 48/2012 and they are now sailing to USA and Middle East.
